Kristy is a true gem. I hired her in 2021 to work with my then 15-year-old son. He had gained over 80 pounds during the pandemic and was depressed. She took him on as a client even though he was the youngest she had ever worked with. Her special brand of humor and professionalism kept him interested and he was eager to work out 3 days a week. Fast forward 2 1/2 years later…. He has lost 80+ pounds, gained muscle mass, and is now a happy healthy 17 year old! She taught him how to work out properly and he now continues his workout without assistance and is happy to do so given the results. My mom and sister both went to Kristy for over a year before I decided to give her a try. I'm large, lazy, and hate exercise...but needed to feel better about things mentally. Now, I feel downright disappointed if I ever have to miss a session. Kristy is incredibly motivational as a personal trainer who has transformed my body. She pushes me past my own self-inflicted boundaries without even being pushy about it, if that makes sense. Multiple times a workout, I think to myself "there's no way I can do that"...and then I do. Every time. I'm pretty sensitive about a past back injury and Kristy listens to my concerns and creates alternatives to certain exercises. I'm able to do things now my own doctors told me weren't possible in the past. My posture and flexibility are greatly improved and I'm STRONG. I began working with Kristy almost 5 years ago with zero strength training experience. As I began to train with Kristy, almost everything she asked me to do was outside of my comfort zone. Kristy always has a can-do attitude and never once exhibited concern that I would not be able to accomplish something she asked of me. Instead, she approached each new exercise with confidence that I could do it. The one thing that simply terrified me was doing work on the TRX, suspension training using my own body weight as resistance. I just knew I would end up on the floor with an injury. Kristy’s described the exercise to me, demonstrated it herself, and then observe as I did it. Her attitude of confidence instilled my own self-confidence. I have never been so proud (and shocked) as when I did my first TRX rows. Over time my confidence and skill on the TRX have increased. Over the past 40 years, as I have joined many diet programs, had memberships, and even a personal trainer, my weight continued through the constant loss-gain rollercoaster. After seeing a small ad in our local newsletter, I called Kristy to set up a free consultation over Zoom. I was instantly impressed with her ability to ask educated questions and actively listen to my responses. Her knowledge of my required exercise accommodations (due to my current physical health) was impressive. Since then, I have been exercising with Kristy through Zoom from home and while traveling. At 75, I've been seeing Kristy for over six years When we first began, my goals were to gain enough upper body strength and balance to go sailing with my family without looking like a little old lady. I have never had muscles, but now my husband and adult children notice the occasional bicep bulge or calf muscle (I was very skinny...my husband once said with regard to my legs, "she looked like a woman riding a chicken"). He's very funny. We are all proud of my new-found abilities. I always look forward to mine and Kristy's Zoom sessions from my sunny home office. There is grunting, sweating, heavy breathing and the occasional expletive, but great satisfaction in performing ever harder tasks. She would never dream of asking one of her clients to try something she, herself, has not perfected. Kristy is very attentive to form and is aware of past injuries, arthritic knees, and day-to-day aches and pains. Her exercise plans are never repetitive and she has tremendous knowledge of the workings of the human body. My great hope is to still be working out with Kristy when I am 85! ~DOROTHY

When I started with Kristy, I wanted to improve my balance and strength. I felt these to be my primary goals being in my late 60’s. I never would have imagined I am capable of doing the strength training that I am doing. Kristy is an amazing motivator!! She determines the individual needs of her clients and then sets up routines that are dynamic and challenging. Sometimes curse words are in order on my part as the workout stretches my limits-but I really have enjoyed the goals she has set for me. I can feel the efforts in terms of my endurance and strength. Kristy is amazing. I was originally attracted to her because of her involvement in the eating disorder community. In recovery, it can be tough to exercise in a healthy way so I was excited to find someone who could help me develop a healthy relationship with exercise. My husband and I saw her together, and we liked how she was always changing things up. We never did the same workout twice. My husband has several injuries from high school and Kristy is very careful about making sure he didn’t hurt himself. She paid attention to detail and always made sure our form was correct. I was referred to Kristy by a therapist after receiving an eating disorder diagnosis. Although my past trainers “didn’t get it,” Kristy quickly proved to be a different caliber of professional. Unlike every other trainer I had met, Kristy was well educated in the lonely world of eating disorders. My daughter and I have been training with Kristy for years now. She is an excellent trainer. She tailors each workout session to meet your fitness goals, and changes things up so you never get bored. I came to her with a history of traumatic experience with exercise, having been overweight or obese from as far back as I can remember and shamed for it. By the time I came to see Kristy I was pretty much convinced that any physical activity had to be torturous. From the very first meeting things started to change. She made me feel comfortable in a way I never thought would come from a personal trainer. She has a way of pushing you while never becoming a drill sergeant and never going too far.
